The Hottest Race on Earth Happens Two Months from Today

June 16th. 2:47 p.m. That’s when the “world’s hottest race” will take place at WestWorld of Scottsdale through fascinating 10.22k and 5k courses. Why then? Because that’s close to the June 26, 1990 date and exact time that it struck a record breaking 122 degrees in the Valley.

All participants for the 5k and 10.22k races will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a finisher medal for braving the temperatures thanks to Maricopa Ambulance. The start and finish line this year will take place inside of the air-conditioned North Hall at WestWorld also where racers can enjoy the cool air and refreshments from the Arizona Ales and Cocktails Festival and all else that’s part of the inaugural Scottsdale Fahrenheit Festival.

Registration for both courses is now open. For more information on courses, prize money and registration check us out.
